  • 4-8 dm tall
  • Leaves mostly opposite; 4-12 cm long, 1.8-8 cm wide
  • Flowers: green and purple tinged
  • Habitat: Sandy soils of prairies and roadsides
  • Distribution: s ND, NE, CO, KS, cen 1/3 OK, TX, e NM (Great Plains s to cen TX & s NM; n Mex.)
